Dear Sponsors -
Happy holidays! What a joyous time of year for those fortunate enough to understanding the true meaning of Christmas. We have reason to celebrate no matter what our physical circumstances.
I can just hear the sounds of the girls singing 'O Holy Night' and other favorites as I write this letter. Christmas at the Michael Job Center is alive with activity, but probably in a different manner than we are acustomed to in the Western world.
There is no tree, or other material forms of celebration, unless Dr. Job or a visitor happens to bring something along. There are no garlands, no tinsel - no distractions at all. Just the sound of pure voices lifted in praise coming from some of God's most innocent and precious creations. Our whole family visited the Center at Christmas 2004. It was a wonderful and refreshing experience to step away from the things that vie for our attention here at home, especially at holiday time. The girls at the MJC are just happy to celebrate the season - and the reason - for Christmas.
With that in mind I wanted to share a priceless letter I received from Salome the last time I was at the Center. Her words are so full of depth and meaning, and I think you will be blessed:

Dear Loving Auntie Ginny,
I have nothing to give you as a gift. But I wanted to give you this beautiful rose since God has given me talent to draw.
Our life is like a beautiful rose that grows in between many ugly thornes. The temptations that come are like the thornes, but always remember; roses bloom beautiful and glorify the Creator even though He has created them among ugly thornes. So must we be.
God is always above you to support you,
below you to fix you, beside you to cheer you,
before you to lead you, behind you to guide you,
near you to comfort you, and inside you to
sustain you.
Place your feeble hands in God's hands and see what miracles will happen. Every sorrows will turn into joy. Every failures will turn into success. Every tears will turn into laughter. Every tempation will turn into triumph. Every worst will turn into best!
Seldom do we hear truer words. From the mouth of babes...
Wishing you a blessed Holiday season –
Steve and Ginny Cleary
